BigRecords.World artist Rachel Dara and ISSA Gold Winner, talks about `commercialising love'

MONTREAL - eMusicWire -- Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Rachel Dara first picked up a guitar and started to write her own songs at the age of nine. At this point in her childhood it was Alvin and the Chipmunks, Katy Perry, Jackie Evancho and Chris DeBurgh who had all inspired her to start dabbling in the art of songwriting. Years later, after watching over a dozen of her livestreams, Tim Steinruck, a hard rock titan of the band 'The Mighty One', reached out and eventually was instrumental in connecting Rachel Dara to industry peers.

Dara set to writing her eight-song debut record "The Next Big Invention'' out of her bedroom with the lights dimmed and filled with moments of solemnity and inspiration thinking about the day she would also turn `Eighteen` and live a life like adults do. The day came where she and her father, Jason Stadtlander, sent the tracks out West where Steinruck then sent the Dara Team to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia to have her live-style album produced by Grammy-award winning legendary record producer & engineer, Mark Howard.

Her writing and style is far more mature than her age, she has a feel and sound like Joni Mitchell. - Mark Howard

"The Next Big Invention" is a folk album featuring themes of coming of age, grief, love, wealth and personal growth.

ISSA multi-award winner, Rachel Dara, crosses boundaries through her witty and meaningful lyricism, but one thing that differentiates her from the rest, is her ability to transform a story into a song in her indie-folk-rock genre.

After releasing the rest of her debut album "The Next Big Invention", Rachel Dara plans on recording a 3-song EP with Juno award-winning producer/guitarist Josh Goldman at his studio "Classic Avenue" in Toronto.

Rachel Dara's inspiration for `Rich Love`, came from the commercialization of love, and from couples buying each other's affection. She wishes it will help others see the good in having an imperfect life, and for this song to be an explanation of the phrase 'money can't buy happiness' (nor love).

Being a young artist, writing and performing has increased her confidence and helped her adopt a growth mindset. Dara would like to build a loyal fanbase through the music that she will continue to release and connect with individuals worldwide.

"Rich Love" can now be found on all platforms.
