ALICEVILLE, Ala. - eMusicWire -- This summer, Aliceville will come alive with the powerful sounds of Southern Soul as hometown favorite DeVonese, known as The Voice of Southern Soul, returns to her roots with an unforgettable live music experience. The "Boot Scoot" Southern Soul Concert, presented by Turner Entertainment Productions is owned by DeVonese and her husband DJ Ike Durty. The show is set for Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Cookie Man's Place, 1438 Wilder Circle, Aliceville, AL. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with showtime at 6:00 p.m.
The event will be held at Cookie Man's Place, named in honor of the late "Cookie Man," a beloved Aliceville City Councilor and philanthropist. His legacy of community service, generosity, and dedication to the people of Aliceville continues to inspire events that bring neighbors together in celebration.
This dynamic event will feature a powerhouse lineup of Southern Soul blues talent, including Jeter Jones-Da Kang of Trailride Blues, Chill Will, Willie Rich, Mr. Oboi, Janell Moore, and Mauberry, all joining DeVonese for an evening celebrating music, culture, and community. Together, these artists promise a high-energy show that blends classic soul vibes with a modern Southern blues twist.

"Bringing Southern Soul music back home is personal for me," said DeVonese. "Aliceville and Pickensville shaped me as an artist and as a person. This event is a chance to give back to the community that raised me and celebrate a music tradition that means so much to our culture."
Turner Entertainment Productions has built a reputation for curating soulful and authentic music experiences across the South. "This is more than just a show—it's a homecoming celebration. We're bringing some of the best Southern Soul artists in the country to Aliceville, and we're doing it in a way that honors our roots," said DJ Ike Durty.
Adding to the evening's energy are hosts M.C. Sparkle and M.C. Forte' along with DJ Rick Breezy, ensuring non-stop entertainment throughout the night. All are Aliceville natives and attended Aliceville High School.
Admission is $35 in advance and $40 at the door, making it an accessible opportunity for locals and visitors to experience a star-studded concert without leaving West Alabama.
