TOMS RIVER, N.J. - eMusicWire -- The Garden State Philharmonic will be performing the great works of Mozart at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 3rd at the Jay & Linda Grunin Center for the Arts on the campus of Ocean County College. A Sunday afternoon affair to basque in the leisure of the weekend, with enough excitement to carry into Monday!

The program, under the direction of Maestra Diane Wittry, will feature The Impresario Overture, Horn Concerto  No. 3, K. 447 in Eb, Rondo for Violin & Orchestra, Don Giovanni Overture, Overture to the Marriage of Figaro as well as Symphony No. 39 in Eb Major. Each piece is  teeming with adventure for the senses, and household themes which have astonished audiences for centuries. "We are taking people through the last ten years of Mozart's life," Wittry explains. "This was amazing he was able to write such joyful music at such a time in his life." While Mozart was at his peak as a composer, he had been dealing with the loss of his child and writing uncommissioned compositions. It was at this time in Mozart's career that some of his most profound works blossomed.
