PLYMOUTH, Mich. - eMusicWire -- Once again the joyous sounds of holiday music will ring out in several metro communities as Michigan's largest regional symphony orchestra, the Michigan Philharmonic, offers up a series of concerts in December.
Led by Nan Washburn, now in her 26th season as conductor and music director, the Philharmonic will perform in Plymouth and Northville in December, offering a wide array of holiday pops, classical and other celebratory seasonal music. The Phil's youth orchestra will also host a concert in Canton.
A longtime community tradition, the Michigan Phil's annual "Holiday Pops with the Phil" concert includes two performances, both at 7:30 p.m. The first is set for Thursday, Dec. 12 at the First United Methodist Church on North Territorial in Plymouth.
Then on Friday, Dec. 13 the Philharmonic will return to the Marquis Theater in downtown Northville for another holiday pops concert. Limited tickets are still available at michiganphil.org.
