CDK On The Mic's Inaugural Bessemer Thanksgiving Dinner Brings Joy to Over 250 Families

GREENSBORO, N.C. - eMusicWire -- Celebrity Host and Radio Personality Christian Kornegay, widely recognized as CDK On The Mic, brought the spirit of Thanksgiving to life by hosting the inaugural Bessemer Thanksgiving Dinner. As part of his CDK Cares Initiative, the event welcomed over 250 elementary school students and their families for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, live music, raffle prizes, and early holiday gifts.

The event, which benefitted Bessemer Elementary School, offered much more than a meal. It provided a sense of community and support for families in need. Principal Jonathan Brooks of Bessemer Elementary emphasized the significance of the event, telling WXLV-TV:

"We're a Title One school with a hundred percent reduced lunch, and so, unfortunately, the sad reality is this may be the only meal this week where a lot of us are going sit down on Thursday and enjoy a meal with our families and our loved ones. This may be the only traditional Thanksgiving meal that some of our families get."
