LOS ANGELES - eMusicWire -- Just in time for spooky season, composer Chris Thomas is releasing his "Purgatio" Halloween album on Friday, September 13th. The album consists of 32 original tracks from various theme parks and haunt attractions. The album also features vocals from many of his long-time musical collaborators such as Nikki Muller (also his lyricist), Monika Beal, Amanda Herr, Charles MacDonald, and James Knox. The latest edition to this weird little family would be Laurel Barnum, the featured singer on the "Purgatio" track. They have been the core sound of Music for Haunts and dozens of theme parks since 2011. Chris has become known as the "King of Halloween Music" because of his extensive work in the horror and Halloween world. Some of Chris's credits include the horror film Don't Look Back directed by Final Destination creator Jeffrey Reddick, Smol Games/Daedalic Entertainment's Hyde's Haunt & Seek video game, and Halloween attractions such as Knott's Scary Farm, Los Angeles Haunted Hayride, Creep (LA), Queen Mary Chill in Long Beach, CA, Haunted Soiree (Glendale, CA). The album will be available on all major platforms including iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and Apple Music.

When discussing the album Thomas says, "This compilation contains many of my favorite tracks from the past two years, pulled together from attractions across the US, Canada, and UK. The title track, Purgatio, was written for an especially dark and subversive performance at the Haunted Soiree in Los Angeles. The show was truly nightmarish and boundary-pushing, so I thought it was just heavenly."
