LANCASTER, Pa. - eMusicWire -- MoMojo Records proudly announces the label's sophomore release from Melbourne, Austalia's Damon Smith. Just six months following the U.S. release of the Global Music Award-winning Skeletons, Skeletons, Skeletons, Smith returns with a formidable follow-up. A multi-award-winning composer, lyricist, music producer, writer, instrumentalist, filmmaker and performer, Smith is a dynamic and prolific creative force.
Produced by Australian musical icon, three-time ARIA winner Jeff Lang and featuring guitarist Dave Brewer, A Fresh Harvest From Old Seeds is, in many ways, a musical nod to Smith's acclaimed 2021 debut film 'Mental As Everything,' which screened internationally and earned numerous awards. Lyrically, this album is a powerful testament to the potency of change. Musically, while keeping his popular New Orleans piano style in check, Smith also plays plenty of guitar on the record, a far cry, stylistically speaking, from his piano style. Somewhere between Tony Joe White, the Black Keys and Dr John, Smith says this record "Is full of his best songs, thus far."
