New, inspirational live music and multi-media event coming to Victoria, BC
VICTORIA, British Columbia - eMusicWire -- David Andrew Wiebe, formerly of Music Entrepreneur HQ and The New Music Industry Podcast recently announced a live music and comedic multimedia event weaving in a dose of New Year inspiration.
The event is called Clean Slate, and Wiebe will be joined by featured artists The Deadly Hiyas, Jody Lubin with his five-piece band, as well as solo artist Brandon Phillips, for a night of music, laughter, creative expression, and self-discovery.
The music will range from singer-songwriter and melodic rock to indie rock and psychedelic rock.
"I dreamed up this event last summer," says Wiebe. "When I was 13, my dad passed away in a motorcycle crash. I was living in Japan at the time, and my family ended up deciding to move back to Canada. I understood English, but I had a bit of catching up to do. Music gave me a voice and a means to express myself at a time when I didn't feel like I had a voice."

Clean Slate Victoria is slated to be the first of many events of its kind. It will be taking place on Friday, February 16, 2024, at the non-profit, multi-purpose venue for arts, community, and celebration, Victoria Event Centre, located at 1415 Broad St. The doors open at 8:00 PM, and the show begins at 8:30 PM.
"At its core, the community event features community musicians performing at a community event. We could not think of a more perfect partner than Victoria Event Centre in putting on this event," added Wiebe.
Not content to simply plan and organize the event, Wiebe has also been hard at work on several creative projects in preparation for the event, including an extended play single, a new book, and several comedic videos. His EP musical release will add five new songs to his catalog of 44, while his new book, Productivity, Performance & Profits Blackbook, will mark his eighth.
"When my father passed away," shared Wiebe, "I began to feel as though I was drifting in life. I was like a ship without a rudder, letting the currents of life take me where they may. At 25, I discovered personal development, and that changed everything. It became the parent I lost and didn't have. Clean Slate represents an opportunity to share that same inspiration and excitement with anyone looking for encouragement amid life's challenges."
