NAPA, Calif. - eMusicWire -- di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art recently broke ground on The Magical Path, a winding ADA-accessible pathway between the art center's expansive Gallery 2 and upper Courtyard. Initial phase one construction is complete and the path is open to the public. Landscaping will continue through 2024.
di Rosa has completed substantial fundraising for the project, with over $127,000 of the project's $200,000 budget raised to date. Thanks to a $50,000 matching grant from Lead Sponsors Ken and Dana Stokes, new contributions will have double the impact.
Designed by San Francisco-based landscape architecture firm, Surfacedesign, Inc., The Magical Path is the latest example of di Rosa's commitment to improve existing services to better serve all audiences. The Magical Path will dramatically improve the accessibility of di Rosa's campus, providing a safe route between the Courtyard and Gallery 2. A graded, ADA-accessible pathway between the Courtyard and Gallery 2 will benefit all visitors, connecting two popular spaces on campus for guests, tours, special events, and education programs.

Visitors of all ages will be able to enjoy the native plantings and landscaping along The Magical Path. Children will be able to play along the pathway, as parents and guardians easily navigate strollers. The path also presents numerous artistic opportunities for seasonal installations and performances by artists new and familiar to di Rosa.
Contributors and sponsors of the project include Ken Stokes and Dana Simpson-Stokes, Surface Design, County of Napa Board of Supervisors, and di Rosa Board of Directors.
