Emerge Center Foundation A Safe Haven for Poverty Stricken Youth In Eswatini, Africa
LOS ANGELES - eMusicWire -- Against all odds, Musa and Waheedah Masinga continue to give their hearts, body, and soul to help the youth and the community in Eswatini. American-born Waheedah took what she thought would be a short volunteer sojourn for three months, little did she know the land she grew to love would be her home. There she met her husband Musa, a compassionate and determined young Minister focused on helping young people from a life of poverty and violence that he experienced as a child through his teens. Waheedah who grew up in a loving home, with food, shelter, and education that was normal in her life gave her a new perception of the indignities suffered by so many in the other less fortunate environments. They knew much more was needed and so they created the nonprofit organization Emerge Center.

Before the nonprofit was created they started the program in their home, in coffee shops, under trees, and anywhere possible they could find accommodations. And while doing their charity work Musa was still working in orphanages, drug rehabilitation centers and women's abuse programs helping others break the cycle he had experienced.
Emerge Center is now an official 501c(3) nonprofit (EIN 8450443483) and the work to raise funds to build the official Emerge Center Foundation building and develop more resources for programs is of vital importance. However, this vision cannot be done alone and they welcome all who wish to join them in making a difference.

Founded by Musa and Waheedah Masinga after 20 years of working at various orphanages and rehabilitation centers in Eswatini, Africa. The Masingas saw a desperate need to reach those who needed a second chance in life so they opened up their home and began welcoming people and investing in whatever way they could. Having grown up on the streets of Eswatini, Musa is committed to investing in the next generation just as others invested in him by providing practical training, character development, and overall support. The task is great and the need is there, hence the birth of the Emerge Center.
