Lemon Lodge Ski Bar, Colorado's first Olympic-caliber ski and snowboard simulator, represents small business in El Paso County

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - eMusicWire -- It's often said, "Small businesses are the lifeblood of the economy" and one local small business standing to support that slogan. Lemon Lodge Ski Bar will be accepting the Small Business Week proclamation on behalf of all local small businesses on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at the El Paso County Board of County Commissioner meeting.

"Everyone in southern Colorado is touched by a small business," says Lemon Lodge owner and co-founder, Melanie Hexter. "As a fun new venue in El Paso County, we are honored to represent all the other small businesses, out there hustling every day for their passion."

Lemon Lodge Ski Bar is bringing an Olympic-caliber ski and snowboard simulator to downtown Colorado Springs. All ages and abilities, from beginners to experts, can ski and snowboard indoors and year-round in the lodge. In true alpine tradition, cowbells will ring for all skiers and snowboarders at Lemon Lodge Ski Bar, located at 111 East Pikes Peak Avenue.

The snow sports community is all about apr├Ęs and Lemon Lodge will highlight its ski bar. While friends are skiing with a qualified instructor, guests can enjoy lodge-style food and unique wine cocktails made with Evergood Adventure Wines, owned by Melanie's husband, Matthew. Also an El Paso County small business, Evergood crafts refreshing wine from lemons, not grapes. Lemon Lodge Ski Bar will offer these outstanding "adult lemonades" by the flight or in delicious wine cocktails, along with iconic ski town beers.

"We're excited to offer a complete snow sports experience to locals and guests. It's something that no one else is offering anywhere in Colorado, which is the blue ocean for any entrepreneur." Hexter continues.

The U.S. Ski and Snowboard athletes use four of these robust snow sports simulators at their Park City, UT training center. Additionally, the simulator's instructor modules were created by PSIA-AASI for maximum transfer of simulator skills to the slopes. Riders and skiers mention the identical sensations and need for proper body mechanics, with emphasis on edges.

While individual reservations aren't yet available, Lemon Lodge is now accepting inquiries for corporate events and private parties. Visit for more details or follow them on social media.
