NEW YORK - eMusicWire -- Singer-songwriter GiGi McCourt has announced the upcoming release of the official music video for "Far," premiering Friday, May 15, 2026. The visually driven project expands the world surrounding her upcoming debut album, Coming Back to Me, arriving June 2026.

Written by McCourt, "Far" exists outside the album's official track list while remaining deeply connected to the emotional and visual atmosphere shaping the broader project. The release continues McCourt's growing emphasis on pairing music with strong narrative imagery, expanding her work beyond traditional single releases into a larger creative landscape.

Directed by filmmaker Gigi Nettles, the video approaches the song through mood, character, and visual restraint rather than conventional performance imagery. Nettles' character-focused style brings a quiet intensity to the project, allowing the emotional themes of distance, memory, and disconnection to unfold naturally onscreen.

The upcoming release of "Far" follows McCourt's recent singles "Faceless Faces" and "Friend of a Friend," both part of the rollout for Coming Back to Me, recorded in Los Angeles and New York with producer Roger Greenawalt. Together, the releases introduce a debut project centered on storytelling, atmosphere, and emotional clarity.

McCourt is also continuing to develop a broader series of music videos connected to the album, including "Take It Back," directed and edited by award-winning filmmaker Laure Sullivan; "Shallow Water," directed by GiGi McCourt with cinematography and production by filmmaker Conor McCourt; and "Anymore, Anymore," currently in post-production.

As anticipation builds toward the release of Coming Back to Me, "Far" offers another perspective into McCourt's evolving artistic identity—one shaped equally by music, image, and narrative.

The official music video for "Far" premieres Friday, May 15, 2026.
