Time: 7:00 PM
Venue: Union Colony Civic Center, 701 10th Ave, Greeley, CO 80631
Prompted by the question "What brings us here?" Fixmer wrote Seven Symphonic Portraits: A Weld County Reflection to pay homage to the diverse stories, experiences, and dreams of the people who have called Weld County home. This composition consists of seven movements, each uniquely capturing the essence of past, present, and future generations.
The GPO is excited to present other captivating compositions, such as Alan Hovhaness' Mysterious Mountain, which transports listeners to serene landscapes, and the triumphant "Jubilee" from George W. Chadwick's Symphonic Sketches, sure to leave you inspired.
