NAPLES, Fla. - eMusicWire -- The 27 graduating seniors in Guadalupe Center's Tutor Corps Class of 2022 have earned a collective 3,779,063 in college scholarship offers and grants.
The statistic, revealed during the Tutor Corps Senior Celebration at Guadalupe Center's new van Otterloo Family Campus for Learning, means this class of students will be able to continue their education without going into debt or putting additional financial burden on their families.
"This year's class is seeing the benefit of their hard work in the classroom and the community. Our graduates are now afforded the opportunity to receive a quality post-secondary education and become first-generation college graduates," said Guadalupe Center President Dawn Montecalvo. "Thanks to generosity of our supporters and partner colleges, these 27 students are well positioned to continue pursuing their dreams."
Tutor Corps is a college-preparatory program that offers guidance in college and career readiness, ACT and SAT test prep, mentorships, financial literacy and scholarship assistance.

The Tutor Corps Class of 2022 includes Fainite Auguste, Carlos Brito-Guzman, Enrique Bucio Garcia, Luz Cantero-Huapilla, Daisy Carranza, Ruth Charles, Sergio Espitia, Brianna Gallegos, Arianna Gomez-Martinez, Kamili Henry, Neida Hernandez, Huguette Herrera, Timothy Howard, Angel Jaramillo Jr., Melinda Joseph, Miguel Lopez, Hiram Martinez-Santos, Gisel Matias, Matthew Mendoza, Rosaura Morales-Gonzalez, Diego Morales Nito, Elsa Pena, Diana San Juan-Avendano, Alfonso Segura Sanchez, Gisselle Velazco-Chavarria, Jonathan Zapata-Martinez and Jacqueline Zaragoza. Guadalupe Center also recognized another Tutor Corps senior, Rodrigo Nava, who passed away in November.
