Into the Summit Returns October 25 to Support Canadian Veterans and Families Facing Mental Health Challenges

CALGARY, Alberta - eMusicWire -- With less than two months until the Into the Summit for Mental Health and Wellness, the Hamilton Gault Memorial Fund (HGMF), in partnership with Canmore Cave Tours, is preparing for the sixth edition of it's unique fundraising initiative in support of Canadian military veterans and their families.

On Sunday, October 25, 2026, participants will venture into the Rat's Nest Cave – a wild and undeveloped cave under Grotto Mountain near Canmore, Alberta. At over 4 km long, Rat's Nest is one of the longest caves in Canada. Exploring this cave involves climbing, crawling, sliding and squeezing through water-worn passages past ancient cave formations.

Into the Summit raises awareness and funds for Canadian military veterans and their families affected by post-traumic stress disorder (PTSD), operational stress injuries and other mental health challenges. Participants are raising funds in support of the campaign, with proceeds helping to fund non-clinical therapies for veterans and their families.

Previous Into the Summit campaigns have raised more than $180,000, with participants taking on challenging expeditions that have included climbing to the summits of Mount Buller and Mount Farquhar and exploring underground passages in Rat's Nest Cave.

Participants have personal fundraising profiles on the campaign website, where supporters can read their stories, follow their progress and make a donation directly in their name. Donations of more than $20 are eligible for a charitable tax receipt.
