FRANKENMUTH, Mich. - eMusicWire -- This year's annual Bavarian Fest will feature rare performances by a unique group of German musicians in the recently remodeled Fischer Platz at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant (https://www.bavarianinn.com/).

The Cincinnati-based Jagdhornbläser Gruppe will take the Fischer Platz stage for three shows throughout Saturday, June 12 (2:15 p.m., 5:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.).

The group is a German-style cultural group that showcases German hunting horns, which have been a hunting tradition going back over 1,000 years starting when King Charlemagne used them during large hunts on his estate.

Traditionally, jagdhorn groups play at hunters' and dignitaries' birthdays, as well as homecoming ceremonies, shooting competitions, Christmas tree lighting ceremonies, formal wildlife dinners, and dignitaries' funerals, so the Bavarian Inn performance will be a rare chance to experience this unusual group.

During its upgrade this past spring the Fischer Platz was given a new outdoor surface (with a portable dance floor), a revamped entertainment schedule and a new menu for guests of the Bavarian Inn who enjoy the outdoor setting along Main Street.

Throughout the June 11-13 festival weekend the Fischer Platz will also feature Linda Lee and her Golden-Aires Band for music and dancing.
