Award winning composer's new release just in time for the holiday season

MIAMI - eMusicWire -- Quiescence: A Collection of Ballads, a compilation album of keyboardist/composer, Tom Alexander's original compositions, releases on Friday, November 17. It features solo piano tracks as well as cinematic compositions augmented by electronic keyboards. Culled from previous recordings, What's Ahead?, Cinemusique, Overbrook Avenue, Flying Against the Time Zones and Dreams In Blue, Tom has selected tracks that are among his personal favorites. "I believe these tunes share a commonality in that they encapsulate the essence of people, places and emotions with an enduring sense of tranquility," the South Florida-based musician says.

For several decades, Alexander has traveled musically between cinematic and jazz piano to world music and fusion. "I'm always thinking a few projects ahead, but focus on one at a time when I'm recording," Alexander adds. "Before I return to the studio early next year, I wanted to share some of the ballads I've enjoyed composing and performing over the years." Quiescence features twelve tracks, and Alexander is planning to release a second volume next year as well as new studio recordings and a live performance recording of his band, Earth Code.

Alexander is also returning to scoring the music for son, Peter Alexander's films. He just completed the score for the short, dark comedy, "What Are the Odds?"  A soon to be announced feature length horror film set for production in 2024, is also on the docket.

Quiescence: A Collection Of Ballads, will be available worldwide digitally beginning Friday, November 17, on all major platforms including iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Apple Music, and more. www.tomalexandermusic.com
