Listen to Jesus Speaking to Crowds Each Monday Night in Moore Square, Raleigh, NC

RALEIGH, N.C. - eMusicWire -- Gather every Monday night at Moore Square in Downtown Raleigh for an informal "Jesus Study" from 7 to 8:30 PM. The Book of Acts is the current study. The group begins each evening with prayer, asking Jesus to reveal Himself through His Word by His Spirit.

"We open our Bibles and examine each verse," says Eddie Jones, a study group participant, "placing ourselves within the context of the verse. Together, we search for promises, blessings, warnings, instructions, commands, and historical elements that shape the passage. We explore dialogue, conflicts among speakers, and related verses for deeper insight. As a writer and author I find taking time to examine every word reveals new treasures I'd missed before."

At the end of each study, the group prays that the revelations of Jesus during their time together will transform their minds and change their hearts, helping them to become more like Jesus.

"We also pray for protection and unity," Jones added, "asking that any spirits of division, pride, self-centeredness, or argument be bound and have no authority over us. In group studies, it's often easy to bring a headful of knowledge we want to dump on others. But when we come with the expectation of learning from Jesus through God's Word and His Spirit what we think we know comes under submission to Him."
