PLYMOUTH, Mich. - eMusicWire -- The Michigan Philharmonic will once again host a special tribute to veterans during a Veterans Day celebration on Friday, Nov. 15 at Saint Kenneth's Church in Plymouth.
Led by Conductor and Music Director Nan Washburn, now in her 26th season, the Philharmonic will offer "Soul of Remembrance," featuring American composers and honoring this nation's heroes across many generations, including guest composer Anthony Iannaccone's "From Time to Time."
Besides Iannaccone's "From Time to Time," the 7:30 p.m. concert features American composer and pianist Mary Watkins' "Soul of Remembrance" along with Aaron Copland's "Letters from Home" and a joyful movement from George Gershwin's "Porgy & Bess."
