Nashville International Chopin Piano Competition Launches First Amateur Edition

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - eMusicWire -- Nashville, TN — The Nashville International Chopin Piano Competition is proud to announce the launch of its First Amateur Edition, to take place in October 2026 in Nashville, Tennessee.

This new initiative was born out of an extraordinary response from amateur pianists across the United States and around the world. Over the years, the competition has received a remarkable number of emails from passionate musicians seeking a U.S.-based Chopin competition created specifically for amateur pianists—one that values artistry, depth, and musical integrity at the highest level.

The competition will welcome amateur pianists of all ages and backgrounds, offering a refined and supportive environment rooted in artistic excellence. Repertoire will consist of standard solo piano works, including a mandatory requirement of two compositions by Frédéric Chopin, encouraging performers to showcase both individuality and stylistic authenticity.
