MONTEBELLO, Calif. - eMusicWire -- The National Boxing Hall of Fame will be having a Special Awards Ceramony in Montebello, CA. International Sports Icon Carlitos Avilas has already been inducted into the California Boxing Hall of Fame in 2007. Now on April 23, 2023 he will be receiving another Special Award from the National Boxing Hall of Fame for the "Don Jose Sulaiman Lifetime Achievement Award". This will be Carlitos Avilas 5^th award for achievements in Boxing.

His 1^st Award was back in 1997 from the World Boxing Organization (WBO) for organizing their 10^th Annual Boxing Convention. Then in 2005 he received his 2^ndaward from the World Boxing Hall of Fame for broadcasting over 20,000 rounds of boxing. Next in 2007 he was inducted into the California Boxing Hall of Fame for his Lifetime Achievement in boxing. The 4^th was induction by the World Boxing Council (WBC)into their Legends of Boxing Museum  with another "Life Achievement" in 2008.
