The world's sole art competition honoring the beloved Prophet has been reimagined and expanded to better reflect our profound love for him.

HOUSTON - eMusicWire -- The Houston-based Islamic Arts Society has unveiled an exciting new chapter in its internationally acclaimed "Art for the Love of Muhammad (PBUH)" competition.
"The new competition has been reimagined, refined, expanded, and elevated to celebrate our love for the beloved Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him)." Said Ms. Shaheen Rahman, President of the Islamic Arts Society.
A major change is to align the competition with the blessed birth of the Holy Prophet. This year marks the 1501st birth year of the Prophet PBUH according to the Hijri calendar, and the results of the competition will be announced on the 12th of Rabi-al-Awwal, which falls on August 25th, 2026.
Entries will be solicited from the 4th of May 2026. Artists from all over the world are welcome to submit their entries for this online competition. The competition will feature two categories, Traditional Islamic Art & Contemporary Islamic Art.
Thanks to a generous grant from the Aslam Saleemi family, the prize money has been substantially enhanced, making this the highest-paying competition of Islamic Art in the world. The $11,000 Aslam Saleemi Award will be awarded to the two first-place artists in each of the Traditional & Contemporary categories.
