Gypsy is a progressive rock band from Minnesota that was very popular in St. Louis from the 1960s well into the 1980s. They performed at Busch Stadium in 1977 before 45,000 concert fans and frequently play at the historic Wildey Theater in Edwardsville, Il.

Gypsy was the house band at the Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood, CA, from 1969 to April 1971 and were best known in 1970 for their US Billboard Hot 100 single "Gypsy Queen." Gypsy members went on to play with Sly & The Family Stone and Robin Trower. Original Gypsy founding member James (Owl) Walsh continues to front the band.
