Joey Berrios tapped to be new Executive Director of SASG and launched a new workshop series geared to educate all about music production
SAN ANTONIO - eMusicWire -- San Antonio Sound Garden (SASG), a non-profit organization committed to building a music education pipeline for all students, is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Executive Director, Joey Berrios.
"It is such an honor to lead San Antonio Sound Garden. Music is in my blood, and every opportunity I have to share my knowledge with anyone takes me a step closer to achieving my mission to make music available to everyone." says Joey Berrios, Executive Director of San Antonio Sound Garden.
Berrios comes with a lot of experience in the music industry. In his previous role as Operations Director and Program Manager of SASG, Berrios spearheaded the overall programming of SASG and managed a variety of activities for the students and the public alike. Berrios also comes with a vast knowledge of education management and administrative skills.

Berrios' new role as the Executive Director has spurred a renewed interest in SASG and as such, we are pleased to announce a new Music Production Workshop series that are aimed at propelling the music careers of young (13+) and seasoned (25+) artists in the San Antonio area. Attendees of any workshop will gain exposure to the production process, hands-on engagement with professional studio equipment and engineers, use of industry standard software, networking with peers and reduced entry into subsequent workshops.
"I am looking forward to 2023 being our year of connecting and collaborating with SASG partners, patrons and students." says Dillon O'Con, Operations Director of San Antonio Sound Garden, "Our new workshops and regular programming will expand SASG's efforts to connect with all students of music."
San Antonio Sound Garden has two upcoming Music Production Workshops that members of the public can take part in immediately by signing up. The first workshop will occur on January 28 and 29, and the second workshop will be held on February 4 and 5. Attendees will have 2 days to choose from and will hear from seasoned professionals such as Edwin Stephens, owner of Green House Studios, Jed Craddock, owner of Earbender Studios and Dillon O'Con aka D.R.O, producer, rapper and engineer.
