Symphony continues 79th season at Garden City's O'Leary Center for the Performing Arts

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - eMusicWire -- Celebrate Valentine's weekend with music from artists like Billy Joel, John Lennon, Whitney Houston, John Legend, Lionel Richie and the Eagles during the Michigan Philharmonic's next concert planned for Saturday, Feb. 15.

The evening concert, which begins at 7:30 p.m. in Garden City's O'Leary Performing Arts Center, features vocalist Kylee Phillips and members of the Garden City High School Choir performing alongside the orchestra.

Led by Conductor and Music Director Nan Washburn, now in her 26th season, the Philharmonic will offer a fast-paced performance blending the many styles of pop music along with soulful sounds and energetic rock and roll.

Phillips is a Michigan-native vocalist and songwriter of deeply self-exposing pop music. Armed with an arresting, emotive, laser-focused voice, and an unrivaled ear for hooks and melodic contour, Phillips has garnered cult-like acclaim in the Midwest and beyond since her explosive debut EP "Long Time Coming."
