The SavPhil's free community concerts come to three neighborhoods across Savannah: Friday in Gordonston, Saturday on Burnside Island, and Sunday on Thunderbolt.
SAVANNAH, Ga. - eMusicWire -- The Savannah Philharmonic will present their second annual Phil the Neighborhoods series this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Featuring musicians from the SavPhil orchestra, these free performances bring music out of the traditional concert hall and into various neighborhoods throughout the region, allowing friends and neighbors to come together in a relaxed and fun environment, such as their community park, front lawn, or downtown square to enjoy music of all genres.
This weekend, the SavPhil will be performing in Gordonston at Juliette Low Park on Friday at 7pm; on Burnside Island on Saturday at 7pm; and on Thunderbolt in Thomson Park on Sunday at 3:30pm. Each of these neighborhoods are hosts of the SavPhil and have worked with closely with the organization to plan all details within their community.
