International recognition continues for "Wind Fly South" following a Best Blues Song win and multiple 2026 award honors.
ATLANTA - eMusicWire -- Grammy-recognized and Blues Hall of Fame "Legendary Blues Artist" inductee blues artist Stevie Hawkins has been named a Finalist in the 2026 InterContinental Music Awards (ICMA) for his original song "Wind Fly South" in the Blues category.
Selected among artists from around the world, Hawkins' song earned recognition for its powerful storytelling, authentic blues expression, and musical craftsmanship. This honor marks the latest achievement in an award-winning year for Wind Fly South.
The song was previously named Best Blues Song at the 2026 European International Music Awards and is currently nominated for the 2026 Hollywood Independent Music Awards (HIMA) in Hollywood, California, with winners to be announced on July 30, 2026. The ICMA winners will be announced on August 23, 2026.
"When I wrote Wind Fly South, I wasn't thinking about awards. I was telling a story the best way I know how—with heart, soul, and the blues. To have this song recognized alongside talented artists from around the world is something I'm truly grateful for," said Hawkins.
