MARIETTA, Ga. - eMusicWire -- The Strand Announces Participation in Match Magic Campaign to Enhance Arts Education in Marietta
Marietta, GA | November 4, 2025 –– The Strand is proud to announce its participation in Match Magic, Cobb Community Foundation's annual holiday giving campaign designed to support local nonprofits. This year's campaign, running from November 11 to December 2, aims to raise $1 million for 27 nonprofit organizations, including The Strand, which is dedicated to providing accessible arts education for students in our community.
Last year, Match Magic raised over $800,000 for 25 organizations, and this year's ambitious goal highlights the critical role that local nonprofits play in fostering community development and enrichment.
At The Strand, we empower students to shine on stage while keeping participation affordable for families. Gifts of $25 or $100 help provide students with the tools to grow as individuals, developing confidence, collaboration, and creativity that extend far beyond the stage. While comparable programs in Cobb County often cost between $1,000 and $1,500 per student, The Strand is committed to keeping tuition low so that every child has the opportunity to participate, regardless of financial circumstance.

"Theatre builds confidence, empathy, and teamwork in ways few other experiences can. Watching our students step into the world of Anastasia and seeing their creativity and courage blossom was a powerful reminder of why arts education matters," said Andy Gaines, Executive Director of The Strand. He continues, "As we look ahead to the spring and SpongeBob: The Musical, we're excited to continue nurturing imagination and belonging for every child who steps into the spotlight on The Strand stage."
As a participant in Match Magic, every dollar donated to The Strand will be matched proportionally from Cobb Community Foundation's match pool. Community members are encouraged to join us in this vital effort, helping us eliminate financial barriers to arts education.
With your support, we can continue to produce high-quality, inclusive programs and ensure that every young person in Marietta has the opportunity to thrive in the arts. Together, let's make this holiday season one to remember!
