LONDON - eMusicWire -- This Fall, Voices of Silicon Valley (VOSV) will present a digital show: Together at Last. The program includes a rarely performed masterpiece by Luciano Berio, Cries of London, originally written for King's Singers. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Cyril Deaconoff, VOSV will present a semi-staged version of this work and an optional 3D version for virtual reality (VR) headsets.

Stage director Sergey Khalikulov's clever concept moves the action from a physical marketplace that Berio had in mind into today's e-commerce, raising the issues of consumer insularity and data privacy by asking: who is buying and selling our information online?. The program also features a premiere of 'Origins of Creativity' by Kenyan composer Kariuki, an excerpt from Gladiator film score, 'Quarantine Madrigals' by Reena Esmail, a moving rendition of Ticheli's 'Earth song' and 'Hard Times Come Again No More' arranged by the Swingle Singers. VOSV digital show 'Together At Last' is a celebration of renewal of artistic and musical life during the Covid-19 pandemic. These are truly songs of our time.
