Annual Holiday Gift Guide Features Jewelry, Art, Clothing and More
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - eMusicWire -- Women Veterans Alliance, a networking and event company, providing resources to equip, empower, and encourage women who have served in the U.S. military, is featuring the annual Holiday Gift Giving Guide to support women veteran small business owners. The guide is filled with jewelry, art, books, clothing, and more, all sold by women military veterans.
Women military veterans are the fastest-growing population of all military veterans in the United States. More than two million women veterans live in the U.S. today and, according to data from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, they represent 10% of all military veterans. That number is expected to grow to 18% by 2040.

Melissa A. Washington, CEO and founder of Women Veterans Alliance, recognizes that the experiences of women veterans transitioning to civilian life isn't always a smooth path.
"15,000 women transition out of the military each year," said Washington "and many experience difficulty during this time. They describe a lack of confidence, discrimination, isolation, a loss of community and identity."
These experiences can lead to further isolation, depression, homelessness, loss of a job or business, and suicide.
"This is not ok," Washington said. "We believe every woman veteran, and her family, deserves to be seen, honored, and supported with the same utmost care and respect that she gave her nation, that she gave you and me."
