CEDAR HILL, Mo. - eMusicWire -- Aliana is proud to announce that she has been named the Josie Music Awards 2020 Outstanding Newcomer of the Year.  She also received nominations for Song of the Year for "Don't Give Up on You" and for Young Artist of the Year.

The 6th Annual Josie Music Awards (JMAs) was held on September 5, 2020 in Pidgeon Forge, TN at the Country Tonight Theater.  The JMAs have quickly become the largest independent music awards show in the United States.  The JMAs received over 30,000 submissions this year.

Aliana said "This musical journey I have been on for the last year has been amazing.  Lots of incredible people have played a role in my success and I am excited to share this award with them."

In April Aliana released her first EP Common Ground containing six songs.  Positive messaging, a bright outlook, and a true belief that music can bring people together dominate the EP.  Her first single Ameri-Can is a wholesome believe in the American dream song.   In February, her song Already Been Through Hell, written in honor of her grandfathers and other heroes reached over 31,000 people on facebook.  The song Don't Give Up On You, that received the nomination for song of the year, is a beautiful ballad written to remind people to rediscover the beauty they once knew in the world.  A heartfelt number meant to help people see there is always hope.  One of the songs Love's Unknown is currently sitting at #71 on the MusicRow County Breakout Charts.
