The MOSA RECORDS release reunites two artists with a shared musical history spanning The Sweet Pepper Band, their acclaimed IvanJoy collaboration and the 2003 album Dedication.
MOSS, U.K. - eMusicWire -- MOSA RECORDS announces the release of "Black Sorcery", a new song and official video featuring Joy Gomez and Ivan Pons. Ivan Pons is signed to MOSA RECORDS; the new release brings the two musicians together under the IvanJoy name.
IvanJoy grew from the musical partnership between Cuban-born singer, songwriter and guitarist Ivan Enríquez Pons and Spanish singer and musician Joy Gomez Muñoz. The pair first worked together in The Sweet Pepper Band in Gran Canaria before forming IvanJoy and developing original material together.
Ivan Pons studied classical music at the Conservatory of Camagüey in Cuba. His early career included the Cuban rock group Rhodas, before he continued performing and recording in the Canary Islands. His background spans classical musical training, rock performance and songwriting.

Joy Gomez was born in Alicante, Spain, and grew up in Germany. She began studying classical music as a child and later moved to Ireland, where she performed as a vocalist with country-rock groups. Her meeting with Ivan in Gran Canaria led to the formation of IvanJoy and a continuing musical collaboration.
In 2003, IvanJoy released "Dedication", a 13-track album featuring songs in English and Spanish and drawing on pop-rock influences. The duo was later profiled in the Spanish press. A March 2005 feature in 20 minutos covered the group, its album and its live appearance in Alicante.
"Black Sorcery" continues the story of the IvanJoy collaboration and introduces the latest work by Joy Gomez and Ivan Pons to listeners. The official video can be viewed at the link below.
